Notice that when the Quick Access box opens, your previous selection is highlighted. Makes it easy to use Ctrl+3+Enter to get to the last place you've looked for.
Note that in OS X you have this kind of search-in-menus functionality in *any* program:

And in recent Ubuntu (I think since 12.04) there's the HUD, which does the same thing:

And in Windows - well, Windows lags behind. But I'm working on something. :)
Ugh, they turned it on by default in Juno and removed any way to turn it off. I can't stand it, and it adds an extra line to my menu bar.
